The direction of your heart:
What direction is your heart going? Now, when i say heart i dont mean the one that pumps blood throughout our bodies.
I mean the very core of you are? Is it going towards this world full of sin & wickedness? Or is it going in the direction of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ? If it is going in the direction of Jesus Christ our Lord & Savior! That is terrific! But if it is heading towards this world and all the evil in it, you are heading to a very fatal end, with no hope, and an empty meaningless life.
How do I know? Well the Bible clearly tells us in the book of ( Jeremiah 17 verses 9-10 ) please turn with me there and it reads, ( 9 ) " The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? ( 10 ) I the Lord search the heart, I try the reigns, even to give every man according to his ways, and according the fruits of his doings.
" And so this is why we need Jesus Christ as our Lord & Personal Savior. Because when we place our faith in Him, & we trust Him, and are obedient. We will have a new heart placed in us and the old stony heart removed as ( Ezekiel 36 verse 26 tell us ).
Now the reason I say this, is not because I'm trying to be critical or anything. I'm saying this because the Lord loves us and desires no one to perish, but for all to come to repentance and He is not slow concerning His promises as some count slowness as ( 2 Peter 3:9 ) tells us.
I also say this cause as children of God we aren't supposed to be living in sin. We are supposed to be born again and separate from the world.
So let us not love the world meaning to not partake in all the wickedness it partakes in.
Turn with me and lets read ( 1 John 2 verses 15-17 ) which reads like this, ( 15 ) " Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. ( 16 ) For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
" Now notice what it says here in ( verse 17 ) " And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever."
So let God who is all knowing work in you as He knows what is best. As He will work both to will and for His good pleasure, as ( Philippians 2 verse 13 tells us.
Remember the Holy Spirit of God can and will help and guide us and God can provide all we need to get through each and every day of this world. As greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world ( 1 John 4:4 ).
So I encourage you, confess your sins ( 1 John 1:9 ), repent, & let God work in you, be baptized, & Born again and of water and the Spirit as ( John 3 verses 3, & 5 ).
