According to reports, Alo falsely testified during a program at Zion Prayer Ministry Movement Outreach in Lagos, claiming that God had blessed her with the property. A viral video captured her testimony, with footage of the building displayed in the church. In another widely circulated video, she allegedly stated that she had purchased the house for N200 million.

Upon interrogation, the suspect admitted to making the false claims, stating that she acted alone. She was arraigned on March 11, 2025, before the Enugu North Magisterial District Court on a five-count charge, including obtaining by false pretence with intent to defraud, defamation of character, and attempted fraudulent sale of the property. The court granted her bail, and the case was adjourned to April 9, 2025, for further hearing.
