 HOLINESS AND SALVATION

Leviticus 20: 26

 

Hello, blessed day/evening to everyone around the world including all my brothers and sisters around the world. Prayers needed for all that need them around the world, including the unsaved.

God still demands Holiness! Did you know that? Now of course that is not something we can do on our own. Just like we cannot save ourselves. Together let's turn to the book of ( Leviticus 20 verse 26 ) which reads, ( 26 ) " Thus you are to be holy to me, for I the Lord am holy, and I have set you apart from the peoples to be mine." Now I know that is Old Testament. But that does not mean there is not anything to learn from the Old testament since both Testaments are still God's inspired word as we read in ( 2 Timothy 3:16 ). But did you know the New Testament says we are to be Holy also? ( Now watch this and read carefully ) Turn with me and lets read ( 1 Peter 1 verses 15-16 ). Which reads ( 15 ) " But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; ( 16 ) Because it is written, be ye holy; for I am holy." Why are we to do this? Because it is how we show we belong to God by being Holy and obedient to Him. Now take note of this we are to also make every effort to live in peace with everyone as well as holiness. As we are told in ( Hebrews 12 verse 14 ) without holiness no one will see the Lord.

We are also told in God's Holy Inspired word the Bible to workout our salvation with fear and trembling. Now what exactly does that mean? Well lets turn to and read ( Philippians 2 verse 12 ) which reads, " Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." Now that is not saying it is a works based salvation or that we should be terrified of God. It just means with the love for God and Jesus that we claim to have. Then our actions should match our words and what is on our hearts. That said let's get rid of the sin that so easily ensnares us. Turn with me and read ( Hebrews 12:1 ) ( 1 ) " Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us." And so brothers and sisters lets continue this race of faith. And with the help of God through Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit, we can overcome all sin and everything this world throws at us, which includes all the noise, distractions, evil, and deception.

And so whatever the sin, or weight that is holding us down, lets pray and ask God for help, confess our sins, and truly, honestly and sincerely repent as God is always faithful and just to forgive us when we confess our sins as ( 1 John 1:9 tells us ). As it is true Godly sorrow that leads to repentance as ( 2 Corinthians 7:10 ) tells us.

And unless you trust and accept Jesus as your Lord & Personal Savior. You will not live a fulfilling life of true hope. As God loves us more than anything. So confess your sins today, get baptized and receive the Holy Spirit, and forsake your sins, &  believe me your life will change in more ways than words can say and for the better. I have done so and it is truly an amazing experience. So confess to Him your a sinner in need of His mercy, love, and life saving Grace. And I promise you, you will not regret it.
