Trusting God

Trusting God

John 6:6

But this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do.
NKJV
Praise the Lord that we don't know everything that will happen because that keeps life fragrant.

But uncertainty can also be frustrating. We want to know everything, but we can't.
There are things we go through that surprise us and catch us off guard.

However, nothing in your life catches God off guard or surprises Him.

The things you are dealing with right now, at this moment, God knew before we even came on the scene. That's pretty mind-blowing, but here is the kicker... He also knows how you will get out of your tough situations.
He saw the curve coming long before you did and prepared you for what He already saw coming.

He knows what fruit this trial is going to produce in your life. For your benefit, He allows this trial or that test to proceed.

But, take heart, saints, and be strong. While we may wonder how it works out and what happens next, we can trust in our God because He knows all along what He will do.
Today Life Lesson: We don't know everything, but God does.

Dear God,
Thank You for Your provision of growth in my life.

You love me so much that You do not want me to remain who I am but to grow in Your good gifts.

It is an incredible comfort to know that my Father in Heaven knows who I am and who I will be and will see me through the changes. Thank You.
I pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.
Living to tell what He died to say,

Verse of the Day

The Attribute Of God

Exo 34:6  And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

Exo 34:7  Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

Psa 103:6  The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

Psa 103:7  He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

Psa 103:8  The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

Pause to reflect on these affirmations about the person, powers, and perfection of God.

The Work of God

Gen 2:7  And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Gen 2:9  And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Gen 2:15  And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it

Take a moment to consider the greatness of God’s wonderful works.

The Relationship to God

1Sa 15:22  And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

1Sa 15:23  For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

Luk 6:46  And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Luk 6:47  Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:

Luk 6:48  He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

Pause to thank God for the relationship that you enjoy with Him in Jesus Christ.

The Character I Want to Cultivate

Pro 12:6  The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.

Ecc 7:9  Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.

Take a moment to ask the Lord for the grace to grow in godly character

My Relationship to Others

Isa 1:7  Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.

Ecc 7:9  Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.

Pause to review your relationships with others and to commit them to the Lord.
